Follow along with Mrs. Moomoo and Brianna as they go on another adventure. Today the happy twosome meet a young boy named Tommy, who has autism. French Fries in the Park is a great source for discussion, whether in a classroom setting or at home, that will help children understand what autism is and how it affects some children. The story line is simple with charming full-color illustrations on each page that will easily captivate younger children. This story encourages children to be mindful and patient of the differences children with autism have, but also to recognize the similar wants and likes these children have that are the same as their own.
What is autism?
Autism is a complex developmental disability that typically appears during the first three years of life. The result of a neurological disorder that impacts the functioning of the brain, autism impacts the normal development of the brain in the areas of social interaction and communication skills (The Autism Project).
As with all of the books in the Brianna & Mrs. Moomoo series, a percentage of all sales go to help support local children’s charities. 10% of all sales for French Fries in the Park will go to help fund The Autism Project. May they continue to support the children with ASD and their families for many years to come.
French Fries in the Park
French Fries in the Park is the second book in this delightful series that educates and inspires our children as well as giving back to our local community. This book will go to help support The Autism Project, located here in Rhode Island.
